The Traffic Controller course is a one day workshop that promotes safe work practices, standards and procedures at roadwork sites required by CoPTTM and qualifies the attendee to:

Assessments are sat at the workshop and a pass is required to achieve the TC warrant. Assessments are open book and a copy of the CoPTTM Handbook (Section J) is provided.

The TTM Worker standard is a prerequisite to the TMO warrant (or a previous TC warrant).

The TTM Mentor is the first step in the roll out of the new training and competency model.
This warrant is for a person who mentors staff on the practical aspects of their role in temporary traffic management (TTM).
TTM Mentor is competed in two parts:
- Part A: Knowledge about the TTM Mentor role and the mentoring process
- Part B: Practice mentoring on key tasks in the yard (includes assessment)
The warrant is completed as a one-off training session which is kept current by completing the STMS Refresher. The TTM Mentor will be able to provide briefings and verifications that are required for the TTM Worker, TC and STMS categories in the new training and competency model.

This workshop is for a worker who assists with temporary traffic management (TTM) under direction (e.g. puts signs and cones out, assists with stop/go, driving activity).
TTM Worker is competed in two parts:

- Part B: Practical Work – Skills in performing the TTM Worker role
Both the theory and practical elements of the assessment are provided during a one-day training course. The theory questions are completed during the morning briefing session. The practical elements are completed first in the yard and then at a worksite during the afternoon.
The TTM Worker is a one-off learning block which does not require refreshing. It is the prerequisite for the Traffic Management Operative warrant in the training and competency model.
