This workshop is for a person new to the Temporary Traffic Management (TTM) industry. The training provides information about common tasks such as installing signs and cones, operating the stop/go paddle and safety responsibilities. The TTM Worker works under the direction of an STMS.

TTM Worker is completed in two parts:
Both the theory and practical elements of the assessment are provided during a one-day workshop. The theory questions are completed during the morning briefing session. The practical elements are completed first in the yard and then at a worksite during the afternoon.

The Traffic Controller course is a one day workshop that promotes safe work practices, standards and procedures at roadwork sites required by CoPTTM and qualifies the attendee to:
The workshop also serves as a TC Refresher for those who have previously trained.
Assessments are sat at the workshop and a pass is required to achieve the TC warrant. Assessments are open book and a copy of the CoPTTM Handbook (Section J) is provided.

The TTM Worker unit standard 31958 is the prerequisite to the sitting the TMO NP (or a previous TC warrant).
Additional on-job coaching from a TTM Mentor and a practical assessment by a TTM Assessor are required for those who require the TMO practising warrant.
