The STMS Mobile Practising warrant is required for an STMS taking on-site responsibility for mobile operations on either category A and B road environments or the shoulder of category C road environments.
On-job coaching and verification from a TTM Mentor and a practical assessment by a TTM Assessor are required for completion of this warrant.
There is not a Unit Standard associated with this Waka Kotahi warrant.
For each closure the following Tasks are required:
Two verified closures can be observed by a TTM Mentor. This can be a TTM Mentor in your workplace.
The Practical Assessment is observed by the TTM Assessor.
We can book candidates using your TTM vehicles. This is time charged.
Alternatively, we can book a candidate with a small group of others they will work with on the day. Candidates need to bring a vehicle to assessment.

The STMS Mobile non-practising warrant is the prerequisite to the STMS Mobile practising warrant. A new person who has not previously held a TC will also require the TMO P.
A person who has previously held an STMS warrant can sit the Practical Assessment. A person who is new to the STMS role must first sit two verified closures.
